"Genshiken" (Gendai Shikaku Bunka Kenkyuukai) is a online club focused on the research and study of visual driven culture, like animation, videogames and comics. The idea came from the homonyms manga/anime and the defunct JAC (Japanese Animation Club), a local club and fansub group created in 2001. The main premise of this club is make the time we spend in our hobbies really count, cataloging, discussing (in written and spoken forms) and documenting for future reference, always focusing on personal growth and knowledge gathering in vogue
